Privacy Principles
- Recognition of a Customer's Expectation of Privacy - We recognize and respect the privacy expectations of our Customers and explain principles of financial privacy to our Customers in an appropriate fashion.
- Use, Collection and Retention of Customer Information - We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources: information we receive from you on applications or other forms; information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others; and information we receive from a consumer reporting agency.
- Maintenance of Accurate Information - We have established procedures so that a Customer's financial information is accurate, current and complete in accordance with reasonable commercial standards. We also respond to requests to correct inaccurate information in a timely manner.
- Limiting Employee Access to Information - We limit employee access to personally identifiable information to those with a business reason for knowing such information. We educate our employees so that they will understand the importance of confidentiality and Customer privacy. We also take appropriate disciplinary measures to enforce employee privacy responsibilities.
- Protection of Information via Established Security Procedures - We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information.
- Restrictions on the Disclosure of Account Information - WE DO NOT SHARE OUR CURRENT OR PREVIOUS CUSTOMER'S NONPUBLIC PERSONAL INFORMATION WITH ANYONE EXCEPT AS PERMITTED OR REQUIRED BY LAW.
- Maintaining Customer Privacy in Business Relationships with Third Parties - If personally identifiable Customer information is provided to a third party (such as a credit bureau), we insist that the third part adhere to similar privacy principles that provide for keeping such information confidential.
- Disclosure of Privacy Principles to Customers - We have devised methods of providing a Customer with an understanding of our privacy policies, including this disclosure. Customers that are concerned about financial privacy will want, and deserve, to know how we treat this important issue.
- Our "Do Not Call" Policy - We will not contact our Customers by phone unless there is a "problem or concern" that directly affects you or your account (e.g. short checks, stolen information, maturing CD, wire transfers received, your check order has arrived, you called us and we are returning you call, etc.). Also, we may send you things in your statement, periodically, if we think that you might benefit from some new information and/or services offered.
